Transubstantiation is a site dedicated to – above all – translation.
This includes translation theory, translation studies, translation practice, written translation, oral interpreting and the oddities that surround the work of translators and interpreters, translator trainers, translation theorists and language scholars from around the world.
It is an attempt to bring together people who are interested in language, languages and, in particular, the translation of languages.
The blog attempts to cover topics that touch upon all things related to language and, in particular, the act of moving ideas from one tongue into another tongue, from one culture into a different culture through the process that is translation.
Transubstantiation tries to make sense of the legacy of the Tower of Babel.
