Welcome to transubstantiation. This is a site dedicated to people who have an unhealthy love of translation or people who are doomed to wander the earth forever shifting from one badly-translated text to another. I suppose this should’ve been the first post, but who cares. Anyway, the plan is for this site to be a place where translators can exchange views on a number of wierd issue.

Omni urbi and all that rubbish. The fascination for all things foreign is indeed fascinating. I mean not the foreign languages, but the fascination itself. Why are so many people so interested in something which is so completely natural to us, but at the same time something very, very abstract?

I’m not very good at this blog things and I get lost all the time, but if anyone can be bothered to spend the time reading this I’m sure they’ll be bored to death.
